SASSA Status Check For The R350 Payment Date of 2023

Sassa (South Africa Social Security Agency) is a South African national agency established in April 2005. The primary purpose of this agency was to administer social security funding and distribute social grants across the state. so that these grants help people improve their standard of living and reduce the rate of poverty.

Who can apply for SASSA grants?

The applicants can qualify for SASSA grants if they match the following criteria:

• The applicant must be a resident of South Africa (a permanent resident or refugee must be registered in the home affairs system, and the resident must be within the borders of the Republic of South Africa).
• The applicant must be 18 years of age.
• They must be unemployed and have no other source of income.
• The applicant should not be receiving any other social grants or stipend funds.
• SASSA also allows applicants to reapply if their application is declined.

However, your SASSA application will be rejected if any alternative source of income or any kind of registration with UIF or NSFAS can be found.

All the documents you need to apply for SASSA grants include; a government-issued identity document, banking details, a contact number, and proof of residential address.

How do I check SASSA’s status for R350?

Once you have applied, the SASSA organization will review your application form. All the data (name, surname, contact number, residential address, identity, etc.) will be verified with the Department of Home Affairs database. You will soon get a message of acceptance or rejection of your application.

You can check your SASSA status through the Moya app, the official website (@srd.sassa.gov.za), and your cellphone SMS or WhatsApp.

●       Through website

Open your Chrome browser and type the URL http://srd.sassa.gov.za/, then click “check status.” You will be directed to the SASSA status page, where you can enter your number and ID before clicking “submit.” Your SASSA status page will be displayed.

●       Through the Moya App

You can also check all the updates through the Moya app. All you have to do is download the Moya app on your device. Then, enter your contact number and ID number, and click on “submit.” After submitting, you will get all the information related to SASSA’s grants. In the menu bar, you will be able to check your status, whether it is approved, pending, or declined.

●      Through a mobile phone
